IGNOU’s online BCA is a three-year program during which the students will be able to study a wide range of topics in Computer Science and Application. For July 2022 session, IGNOU is accepting admission through online mode. The candidates can apply till July 31st, 2022.

NO, IGNOU doesn't conduct an entrance exam for the BCA program.
IGNOU follows a semester system for all programs including BCA.
The candidates must have passed class XII from a recognized board of studies with a minimum of 50% marks.
The fee for the full program is Rs. 36,000/- to be paid semester-wise ( Rs. 6000/- per semester).
The students shall download the distance online BCA syllabus from the official website of the University and they may also get it from the program guide.
The Bachelor of Computer Application program is scheduled into six semesters, two semesters per year.
IGNOU conducts two exams every year for the online BCA program, one in June for the January to June semester courses and the other in December for the July to December semester courses.
The whole BCA program includes 25 theory papers.
Yes, there are 13 practical courses in the online BCA program.
To pass the project course one needs to score minimum 60/150 marks in the project report and a minimum 20/50 in Viva-voce.
Yes, students should attend and pass every practical course of term-end practical examination in order to declare success in the respective course.
Yes, IGNOU has a provision to provide the soft copy of study materials, but it has to have opted while filling out the online admission form. The students who opt for the online study materials will be given a 15% discount on the program fee.
