The BCA distance program has got a very comlex and lengthy syllabus. It includes 39 courses that constitutes 25 theory courses, 13 practical courses and one project course.
The project is a very important part of the program and has the highest credit point, 8. The project work comes in the final semester of the program. It is divided in to two sections, the project evalution report and viva voce. The project report is evaluated for 150 marks, and the viva-voce is for 50 marks.
The students should secure atleast 40% marks seperatley in both the sections to complete the course successfuly.

- Select a topic of your choice and find a suitable guide to direct you.
- Prepare the project proposal by discussing it with your project guide.
- Submit the project proposal along with the necessary documents to the regional director of the concerned regional center.
- Carry out the project work.
- Prepare the project report.
- Submit the project report to the regional director of the regional center.
- Appear for the viva-voce when directed by the regional director.
Evaluation Criteria
The BCA distance program project is a major course of the whole program and it is advised that the students should do it with atmost care. A student must secure a minimum of 40% marks seperately in each section

The project work consists of 150 marks and viva-voce is for 50 marks. It is compulsory for a student to pass in both the sections. If a student submits the project report on time as per the schedule and fails to attend the viva, her/his project will remain incomplete and they should contact the regional center coordinator for further updates. The viva-voce will be held at the concerned regional center and will be conducted face to face only.
